ABOUT VITALFIND
Vitalfind is an independent wellness information portal. Here's exactly how our tools and guides get made, and where their limits are.
Vitalfind focuses on one job: turning common biometric questions into plain, well-sourced explanations. We deliberately keep the scope narrow — preventive wellness and metabolic-health literacy — rather than trying to cover every corner of health.
We are not a clinic, a lab, or a substitute for a healthcare provider. Where a topic needs individualized medical judgment, our guides say so directly and point toward professional care instead of guessing.
Every guide and tool is checked for plain-language clarity, internal consistency, and correct unit labeling before it's published. Numeric tools are tested against hand-calculated examples before launch.
Calculators are built on named, widely taught formulas — the Karvonen method, the Mifflin–St Jeor equation, standard sleep-cycle modeling — rather than a proprietary or hidden scoring system.
Guides are written from established, mainstream wellness consensus rather than single studies or trends. We avoid superlatives ("best," "cure," "guaranteed") and state uncertainty where it exists.
Calculator inputs — your age, weight, heart rate and similar figures — are processed in your browser to produce a result and are not stored on our servers or shared with third parties.
Every calculator states the formula it uses and where that formula breaks down — for example, standard max-heart-rate formulas are population averages, and BMI does not distinguish fat from muscle. None of our tools or guides diagnose a condition, prescribe medication, or replace a conversation with a qualified clinician. If a guide references general research consensus, we describe it in plain terms rather than citing individual studies we haven't independently verified.
We review every correction request from our support desk personally.
